WELCOME TO A NEW YEAR 2025

As we bid farewell to 2024,  I eagerly embrace the possibilities I see for 2025.  So, I wanted to take a moment to reach out and share my heartfelt wishes with all of you. This past year has brought many memories which have been both joyful and challenging.  It's sometimes easy to overlook the beauty of our shared experiences in the hustle and bustle of daily lives, however, as the new year begins, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the moments we've cherished and to look forward to new adventures we're yet to amass.   I see us as an organization of infinite possibilities, so let's make a promise to support each other in our goals for Life Exchange Center.   Whether it’s embarking on new journeys, nurturing our passions, or simply spending more quality time together, we are one.

I'm excited about what the future holds for us, so let’s embrace this new chapter with laughter, gratitude, and lots of fun while together expanding LEC's programs and services.

To our two newest board members, congratulations on your appointment, and to everyone, I wish you and your loved ones a joyful and prosperous new year filled with love, happiness, and dreams fulfilled.

Happy New Year!

Darlene Darby Baldwin, Executive Director

WHO ARE WE

Members of the center have the opportunity to participate in support groups, workshops, and recreational activities that promote wellness and positive coping skills.

The center also offers resources such as computer access, job search assistance, and referrals to community services that can aid in the recovery process. LEC strives to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals can connect with others who have similar experiences and build a strong support network.

Overall, Life Exchange Center is a place where individuals can find hope, healing, and empowerment on their path to recovery. It is a safe and supportive space where individuals are encouraged to embrace their strengths and work towards their goals. The center plays a vital role in the mental health and substance use recovery community, providing a beacon of light for individuals in need of support.

COMMUNITY

We define our community a group of individuals who share similar life experiences, challenges, and circumstances. These individuals have firsthand knowledge and understanding of a particular issue, such as mental illness, addiction, trauma, or discrimination, because they have personally gone through it themselves. This shared lived experience allows members of the community to offer support, empathy, and understanding to one another, as well as to advocate for change and raise awareness about their collective issues. These communities often provide a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to connect, share their stories, and navigate their shared challenges together. At Life Exchange Center, community is a vibrant tapestry of individuals coming together for inspiration, growth, and the shared goal of creating a supportive environment where every voice is valued and every story enriches the collective experience.
